Macedonia Baptist Church has chosen to associate and cooperate with three important groups of churches in an effort to glorify God and reach people with the Good News of Jesus Christ

  • Ten Mile Association

  • Kentucky Baptist Convention

The Kentucky Baptist Convention is composed of approximately 2,400 churches and many missions that fellowship and work together to reach the state of Kentucky.  These churches have a total membership of more than 750,000 people.

  • Southern Baptist Convention

The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) is a fellowship of over 47,000 Baptist churches scattered across the United States and its territories.  These congregations, comprised of numerous  racial, ethnic, language, and socioeconomic people groups, are called "cooperating churches."  They have organized themselves to accomplish a specific set of missions and ministry initiatives, all for the purpose of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people everywhere.

  • What are the advantages of affiliating with the Southern Baptist convention?

    1. It allows us to identify ourselves with other Christians around the world who are known for their commitment to the Bible.  Unlike other groups, the SBC has no man-made creed. . . the Bible is our sole authority.
    2. It allows our church to participate in the largest missionary organization in the world.  Through the SBC's Cooperative Program, we help support over 9,000 career missionaries in 125 countries.
    3. It allows us to be a part of a tremendous mobilization of church members around the country.  About 100,000 Southern Baptist each year participate in short-term mission and disaster relief projects, at home and abroad.
    4. It allows us to be a part of training, through our six seminaries, about 12,000 pastors and others each year who are called to vocational ministry.
    5. It allows us to be a part of Lifeway Christian Resources, the largest publisher of religious materials in the world.  Orders come from over 70 countries around the world.
